Care for your hair has been a constant source of inspiration and advice since i started my natural journey. The interviews with various natural women showcasing their triumphs and hair mishaps are great sources of encouragement. The detailed product reviews have helped me decide which products are worth trying on my hair and the site has also given me styling ideas.
Yes!! I love CFYH page! It has helped me so much. From the hair stories of others, to product reviews, to styling ideas and so much more! And of course dispelling all those black hair myths and informing me and so many others about the truth about our God given hair.
I love the variety of curls kinks and coils on this page. Especially when people say wavy loose hair is “good” hair, one look on this page shows that healthy hair is good hair and that comes in all varieties.
Thanks x
Cfyh has helped me soo much especially wen u are just starting out and have no idea wat to do and to see other peoples experiences and problems and success they have had and r aiming for.
For about three years not I have been saying that I want to do the big cut and just enjoy my hair for all that it is but have not had the push that I needed. Not too long ago I had my first child, a very sweet baby girl and was spending hours looking for help on how to look after her hair. Not too long ago I found your page that has not only help me with my babe girl hair but also has help me to do the big chop. My husband is so happy and loving it. It say now he can put his hands on my own hair not the one I pay for. Lol
I don’t think that I Would have done it without your website or the Facebook page.
Thanks very much
Yes without a doubt! All the pictures that are posted are so inspirational! It’s nice to see people’s stories, and how we all help each other out with problems, concerns, worries etc. And I love that it’s a UK based group, most I’ve the natural hair pages I’ve liked on facebook are American based, so CFYH is just that little bit more applicable to me! I love the blog and the facebook page, keep up the great work that you are doing!
Put it this way, any conversation I have with someone who has an interest in natural hair, I send ‘em this way!
It’s a great source of community to find out information/share/see juicy pics and then some!! I actually look forward to seeing what’s on the page daily, so yes CFYH is great.
Keep up the good work Pelumi =D
Care For Your has been extremely helpful on my hair journey. It was one of the places I’d always run to for inspiration when I first went natural. Even 3 years later, I still find myself learning new things and inspired whenever I click on the page. Thank you Pelumi, God bless you X
I’ve only recently joined care for your hair but I’ve been inspired to keep reaching for the end goal by the many posts and pictures.
Yes especially with the hair care tips
Yes cfyh has very much helped me out, mt last perm was June 2009 as I was made to for last high school year celebrations but i completely neglected my hair no maintenance whatsoever but from april this year i really focused on getting a healthy scalp and learnt protective styling from you ie flat/twists. oct/nove i trimmed my hair ince i hadn’t done it for over a year and now officially embarking on my healthy hair journey.
the information that you have about oils that are good for hair have really sparked my interest as well as moisturising well.
Cfyh is the only reason why I’m still natural!! I had a real struggle accepting how I look in my most natural state – all the weaves and relaxers had somehow clouded how I saw myself and I had real troubles at the beginning when I was transitioning! After seeing all the beautiful bloggers n ladies on the cfyh page, all the tips n the speed in which Pelumi answers any n every question I was sold and just over a year later I can say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made n I have used the page to help my friends n family join me!! =D
Cfyh has been a source of information and inspiration to me and I love the fact that it is UK based as the majority of hair or makeup pages tend to be US based x
Cfyh has been incredibly helpful, this page is the reason i started my natural hair journey in the first place. Thanks Pelumi!
Of Course Pepe’s (I know I’m the only that calls u that lol) is the first blog I ever followed. I used to think that only mixed race or americans or generally people with good genes could have long hair (relaxed or natural) so when you BC and started your blog later I said to myself Pepe’s Nigerian like me and she’s combing her natural hair (I have broke multiple combs the short period my hair was natural) and her hair’s soft, manageable and looks nice and after reading your blog (I came late there was a lot to read
) I thought I can grow my natural hair too and here we are today with your blog going strong and me transitioning
Cfyh is an amazing site that has collated various inspirational stories from ladies who have gone through the “struggle” of learning to love your hair for what it is which gives the rest of your followers hope to do the same. The hair care tips are very useful and should keep on coming! lol
Definitely! Going natural was something that I’d never ever thought of, and with my thick hair, I never knew being natural would even be an option. Until I stumbled upon CFYH! My opinion of ‘hair’ and what healthy hair is completely changed…thanks to CFYH. CFYH has helped me on my journey way before i even started transitioning…the advice and tutorials helped me get mentally prepared. So I’d just like to thank Pelumi and the CFYH team x
Once I moved to the UK, I was hoping to find a few local natural hair sites to find new tips and tricks, and some inspiration – CFYH has done that and more, I love this site.
)
Care For Your Hair was one of the big reasons I became natural. I’ve been natural for just over two years and I still stalk the page everyday lol.
CFYH has been very helful. I heard about the page when it was just starting and have been a fan ever since. From styles, advice and the meetups have been great. Great education and great style. The support provided has helped me to stay away from the “creamy crack”. Go CFYH!
Yes! Care for your hair was the whole reason I decided to go natural in the first place. I always wanted to go natural but never knew how to care for my hair but with all the useful tips and information on what products to use I felt like I could now embark on this journey without any doubts there are some things I didn’t need to ask because you already put it up on the page, i also remember when i first joined this page ages ago when I was still relaxed never knew it would have become this big! so kudos to you for all your help! x
Yes, CFYH has helped me with all the hair care tips provided.
CFYH has been really helpful to me. When I did my big chop last year cfyh website was the first place I went to in order to learn what to do with my hair. This website has been amazing for me.
Thanks
It has opened me up to a community of British naturals and the local/national products we have on offer. Now I dont need to spend hours looking for American brands.
Yea definitely, from product reviews to even just the pictures posted I’ve found loads of helpful information. Your blog is a great place for info, reviews and hair styles. A few weeks ago I got my braids done by your braider based on your post and I really like them! It’s also a big plus that you’re UK based, keep up the good work.

I definitely think that CFYH has helped me with my natural hair journey as a teenager in london, finding a website that would help me in the UK was fantastic. I love the features, tutorials and hair care tips.
CFYH has been so helpful! I couldn’t thank them enough for all the help and support through blog articles and pics on how to care and look after my hair. And the fact that they’re based in the UK makes it even better, feels more close to home lol.
Care for your hair was the first place I went after discovering about the whole natural movement. The fact that information was all there in one place in an easy format and easy to find helped me find out so much without going all over. Also whenever I had question that need to be answered cfyh always replied to them which I’m grateful for thanks
CFYH has been great for me. It offers lots of women with natural hair, who aren’t represented in the media.
Although i’ve technically been natural for my whole life, i’ve only started to learn how to really take care of my hair.
And i’m learning lots of techniques and top tips. Plus introduced me to loads of great uk hair care products.
Thanks for the info
It’s been a great inspiration styling wise and helps keep me up to date with the latest products.
Cfyh has helped me so much throughout my hair care journey I like that cfyh is uk based as many bloggers are USA based so products that they have we don’t have it over here.
CFYH helps simply because its Uk based & has a high standard of info giveaways and its relevant
when i first started my natural hair journey I really did not know were to start and cfyh has been so so help especially since i am UK based so helps a lot with product selection and also for events. I will love to see you vlog
I originally came across Cfyh via a posting on Gidore’s Facebook page just over a year ago and the site suddenly became my go-to source of information on product reviews and general hair health/regimes.
As well as the blog posts on the site being helpful in aiding me on my hair journey – Pelumi you have also been helpful by providing me with great photos/inspiration/video tutorial links via Facebook and Twitter and even replying to any of my emails asking for tips/advice (which I am REALLY grateful for!)
My hair journey has not been easy but having Cfyh to constantly come back to time after time definitely helps. Thanks Pelumi
Care for your hair was the first ever support and guidance ive ever had, i was sooooo ignorant about my hair in general, following care for my hair has actually inspired aand motivated me to look after my hair in several ways.
