Why I started my brand?
I graduated from Cambridge University and spent almost 12 years pursuing a fast paced, high pressure career in investment banking. Complimentary therapies and wellbeing services were always a core part of my lifestyle, and I eventually trained as a holistic therapist and sisterlocks consultant, and found that caring for others in my spare time was a self-healing outlet for my creativity.
However, after having my 2nd child I found it increasingly difficult to achieve a suitable work life balance for that kept both my bosses and my family happy. I became quite ill after my 3rd child and lost all of my hair (head and body) and realised that I needed to find a healthy sustainable way to make a living and one of my clients suggested I make what was then my hobby into a full time career.
The Almocado product range was a natural progression from my natural hair, locs and holistic therapy services. My therapy clients would constantly ask whether they could take their body oils home with them; and I realised that I needed affordable reliable products devoid of the ‘purported nasties’ to help cleanse, refresh, soften, moisturise and condition my clients’ hair; products I believed in. So I did my research and assessments and launched my own ranges in 2010.

Our ‘Triple L’ (Luscious Lecithin Leave-in)
Rich in moisturising soy lecithin and packed with Pro-vitamin B and protein, to help strengthen, moisturise, soften and support growth. Applying an oil, oil based serum or a leave-in conditioner to the hair after moisturising helps seal the water into your strands and deposit botanical extracts and nutrients to the hair shaft.
Our Triple L Treat combines premium ingredients to aid detangling, reduce friction when combing/brushing and to help keep hair soft and supple. Helps moisturise flat twists, cornrows, single/double twists, Sisterlocks, traditional locs, braids and afros. Not recommended for direct application to the scalp. Silicone free and ideal for all hair types. Smells like ‘sweet indulgence’.

I have been natural for about 16 months now and my hair is growing but trying to style it has proven difficult due to the texture of my hair. I’m looking for products that will soften my curls and make them looser whilst still keeping my hair healthy.
I am interested in trying these products especially the one with the coconut water, being an island girl I believe in the properties of coconut and I am yet to find a good product that is not too filled with chemicals since I have very dry hair.
I have never tried this line before, but it looks good so I’d love to try it out.

I have been natural throughout my life except for 1 year when I decided to get a relaxer; because I could never manage my thick long curly hair that was always dry like the desert especially in the winter months. As a result I use to frequently strighten my hair not knowing that it was leading to the death of my curls
my hair was literally like wires-harsh, frizzy…but worse of all it stopped growing! Now that I am natural again since BCing my hair I have struggled to find natural products or ones that work for my sensitive scalp as I have noticed that I get spots on my scalp from most of the products I’ve used. I would love to use this product since its all natural and hope it works for my scalp and hair

My hair is really dehydrated and this might be just what I need.
i would like to try it because i currently have a spray based leave in conditioner and have to spray quite alot just to ensure it reaches all areas so i would like to try a cream based one too. considering the avocado and almond properties it would sure be a boost in moisture for my hair that does need it due to high porosity

Products with natural ingredients are usually expensive, it would be nice try this for free and I don’t have a set of products, an arsenal of things that would, but I’d like to make one.

After this horrible weather we’ve experienced over the last month or so my hair has taken a bit of a battering and it really needs some sort of treatment and replenishing!! These products look like they will do the trick!!

I am very interested in trying this product not for me but for my daughter. I have european hair and for the past four years I have ensured my daughter grows to love her natural hair. Many a time I was told to relax her hair as it is very tight curls and I have found it very difficult to look after, but thankfully have never given in. Since reading about this product I believe that this will make hair time a lot happier not only for my little girl but me too
